Aston exec leaves for Chrysler

Beth Paretta, one of Autoweek's 10 Secret People in 2009 (Autoweek, Sept. 21, 2009) has left her position as operations manager at Aston Martin to join Chrysler Group LLC as marketing manager for SRT and motorsports. Her appointment is effective this month.

The £19,750 hot hatch is based on the track-focused 225 Cup edition, but with power bumped to 230bhp, tauter suspension and a limited slip differential to boost traction. A rasping sports exhaust and ECU tweaks boost the 2.0-litre turbo engine’s power from 225 to 230bhp.

Fiat 500X: A sneak peek at Fiat’s 500 SUV

The Fiat 500X is an SUV based on the same platform as the 500L, and we’ve got a sneak peek of it at a press event in Italy. Fiat are determined to extend the 500 franchise with an extended range of models, such as the Fiat 500L we saw officially launched earlier today. Next up will be the Fiat 500X, a crossover come SUV based on the same Punto platform as the new 500L and aimed at the same market place as the MINI Countryman.
