Could these Ford Mondeos signal a wagon rebirth?

These two Ford Mondeo wagons were spotted around the Detroit area this past week. While the vehicle without camouflage is all standard Mondeo in its exterior appearance, the possibility exists that the camo on the second car could hide a Fusion front end. The most likely explanation is that these are mules of some kind, but we're holding out hope that Ford is testing the wagon waters in the United States once again.

Nissan has increased production of the Qashqai to cope with demand We thought the original Nissan Qashqai was a decent car. It looks set to improve in a number of important areas when the 2010 Qashqai hits showrooms in March, and it seems that the great car buying public is in agreement as Nissan has just announced that they are to increase production at their plant in Sunderland to cope with demand for the new Qashqai. Mercedes to build CLS Shooting Brake

Mercedes has announced that the CLS Shooting Brake, which was shown as a concept at the Beijing motor show in April 2010, will go into production in 2012.  Well, if you want a car that will turn heads around town – and find the E-class estate has a little too much room – then this is the car for you. Mercedes flatly refuses to admit that the CLS Shooting Brake is an estate, preferring to call it a ‘sporty four-door coupe with a sloping tail end based on the CLS’. In essence, this car is a hatchback version of the CLS, and despite a slightly raised roof, it still sits a full 10cm lower than its E-class sibling.
