MP makes case for double summertime
Fri, 25 Oct 2013ROAD SAFETY and tourism benefits are the key issues behind a debate on the end of putting the clocks back during the winter. Sir Greg Knight, MP for East Yorkshire, criticised the "flawed ritual of plunging the UK into darkness by mid-afternoon" and suggested a debate was required on making better use of daylight. The Tory said any examination should look at the benefits which would see the clocks run two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time during the summer.
2012 Porsche Boxster, 911 Turbo, 911 Targa, 911 Cabrio & new Cayman caught on video
Sun, 09 Oct 2011Porsche's next generation cars caught on video There are umpteen people round the world who make a living from camping out in inhospitable terrain in the hope of snapping a new car before the car maker wants the world to know. And they make a decent living from flogging those snaps to car media round the world. David Brown Automotive promising a new luxury British sports car
Fri, 17 Jan 2014David Brown Automotive promising a new luxury British sports car The name David Brown Automotive conjures up images of the man whose initials still give us the Aston Martin DB9 – former tractor builder David Brown who bought up Aston Martin in 1947 (and subsequently Lagonda and Tickford). But this David Brown Automotive is actually a new company which promises to “…refresh the classic British sports car, for the 21st Century” with a vision for a new luxury take on the classic British Sports Car. David Brown has put together a team lead by Alan Mobberley – who was Chief Designer at Land Rover until 2005 and cropped up recently as the designer for Eterniti Motors – and has commissioned Envisage Group (the firm that bought up what was left of CPP after Vladimir Antonov’s exploits and who are building the glorious Lyonheart E-Type) to bring his dreams to life.
