Hypertech Power Programmer III  for LT4  LT-4 350 Chevy 1996 Corvette

The Power Programmer III is an easy to use, plug and play device that allows you to re-tune your vehicle with Hypertech’s proven engine tuning for more horsepower, improved throttle response, and better driveability. Customers who have used their tuning also report increased fuel economy, from 1 to 2 MPG average.

Simply plug the programmer into the diagnostic port under the dash, and follow the instructions on the screen. Selecting the tuning options is as easy as scrolling up and down, and answering Yes and No questions.

Hypertech tuning works great with most bolt-on mods like cold air intakes and cat-back exhausts. The tunes will self adjust for these mods, eliminating the need for expensive custom tunes.

Adjustable Engine Rev Limiter: Raise or lower the maximum engine RPM.

Transmission Shift Firmness: Electronically increase the pressure of the transmission to firm up the gear changes. This eliminates the slip between gear changes, reducing transmission wear, and lowering transmission fluid temperatures.

Adjustable Transmission Shift Points: Raise or lower the maximum engine RPM that the transmission shifts in each gear at wide open throttle, from -500 RPM below to +500 RPM above the factory shift point in 100 RPM increments.

Speedometer Re-calibration: Re-calibrates the speedometer, and corrects the part throttle shift RPM for non-stock tires and rear gears.

BMW i3 Range Extender engine adds 10% to the price The BMW i3 – BMW’s first foray in to a world of electric cars – was officially revealed in July – and due on sale in 2014 – and seems, by electric car standards, to be almost affordable. At a starting price of £30,680 – £25,680 after the taxpayer bribe for EV buyers – it’s no more expensive than other electric cars and does come with some clever technology – and the BMW badge – that will help it move out of showrooms. But as we reported as far back as 2011, the BMW i3 is to get a range-extender option – a small petrol engine that kicks in to recharge the batteries when they get low – which will make the i3 a much more practical proposition.

New 2010 Toyota Prius Video

Sun, 28 Dec 2008

But things are changing. The world is starting to wake up to the down-sides of the hybrid, and is starting to focus on real ‘Green’ technology, such as the Hydrogen EV. But there is life left yet in the Hybrid model, and Toyota is not going to let the grass grow under its feet (especially as Prius sales are falling rapidly).
