COMMANDMIC II - White

Enjoy complete control of your IC-M504 and IC-M602 fixed-mount marine VHF radio from a remote location with the Icom HM-162B COMMANDMICII. The COMMANDMICII which fits comfortably in the palm of your hand--in effect serves as a second station for your vessel. Need to call a fellow boater or make a distress call but don't have time to trudge all the way to the main radio? Pick up a COMMANDMICII, an ideal communications accessory for the deck, fly bridge, or main cabin (the mic must be located within 70 feet of the main radio).

The COMMANDMICII sports such features as a sizable built-in LCD, an extra-large 1.7-inch speaker, and a multifunction jog dial that offers quick and easy access to all the controls on your radio, including channel selection, volume, squelch, menu settings, DSC calls, and foghorn functions. You can even use the COMMANDMICII to talk with the main unit as an intercom, making onboard communication easier than ever.

GM recalls 1.5 million vehicles for oil leak

Mon, 13 Apr 2009

General Motors is recalling nearly 1.5 million Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac mid-sized cars equipped with a 3.8-liter engine because an oil leak could start an engine fire. Under hard braking, engine oil could leak past a heat shield and drip on the exhaust manifold. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that could start a small fire that could spread to a plastic spark plug wire guide and beyond.

Hyundai & Kia get Google Maps integration – but not in UK

Sun, 06 Jan 2013

Hyundai and Kia are adding Google Maps functionality to their SatNav Systems in the US, but it’s not coming to the UK any time soon. In the US, Hyundai has a clever system called Blue Link (Kia has a similar system called UVO) that offers increased functionality for stuff like the SatNav, Remote Access, Location Sharing and Enhanced Recovery. It costs a few hundred dollars a year (for the all-singing, all-dancing version), but makes your Hyundai much smarter than the average bear.

BMW M6 Gran Coupe: Price from £97,490 (+ video)

Sat, 15 Dec 2012

The new BMW M6 Gran Coupe - officially revealed this week – will cost from £97,490 when it goes on sale in May 2013. The M6 Gran Coupe gets the same, very convincing, looks of the regular Gran Coupes, but with added visual butchness thanks to a front spoiler, flared wheelarches, side skirts, rear diffuser and a carbon fibre roof. That promised aggression is reinforced by the M6 Gran Coupe’s powerplant that comes from the M6 and M5 with a 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 delivering 553bhp and 50lb/ft of torque – available from 1,500 to 5,750rpm – which is enough to get the M6 Gran Coupe to 62mph in 4.2 seconds.
