At the Geneva Motor Show in March, we saw the Bertone Jet 2+2 – essentially an Aston Martin Rapide Shooting Brake – designed by Bertone as a one-off customer car. But it looks like the Rapide Estate may be heading for production.
Supermarkets cut diesel prices
Mon, 09 Jun 2014SUPERMARKETS seeking to close the gap between the price of petrol and diesel have announced reductions at the pumps. Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco have all knocked up to 2p a litre off diesel prices over the weekend. Asda said that those filling up with its diesel would be paying no more than 131.7p a litre.
Mercury dies off, Lincoln to benefit

Following the sale of Aston Martin, Land Rover, Jaguar and most recently Volvo (to Chinese automaker Geely), the Blue Oval has now announced the demise of its 'middle of the range' Mercury brand, with production of the last vehicles set to cease at the end of 2010. In a statement released to media, Ford announced that the shuttering of the 71-year old Mercury brand was in the interest of focusing on Lincoln, the automaker's only remaining premium brand.
