The Citadel Waterproof Glove is an under-cuff glove featuring a detailed mix of materials and construction. The chassis is composed of spandex, welded TPR, and Ax Suede paneling. Battlehide leather is used to reinforce fingertips, thumb, and heel areas. Internally the CITADEL features a waterproof Hipora™ liner to help keep the elements at bay. Dual hook & loop closures complete the assembly. Fri, 09 Dec 2011Luxgen, Taiwan's only automotive manufacturer with its own design and development center, has announced the launch of the Luxgen5 sedan, which the company says has three design aesthetic elements: surfacing performance, re-curved strokes and intelligent airfoil. What this translates to is a silhouette comparable to the Opel Insignia, with an arcing A-pillar that runs through the cant rail onto the high rear deck. The DRG boasts a large grille, where the chromed ‘wing' motif runs into the LED lamp graphics. The sculpted flanks feature an array of character and detail lines that fall into the ‘re-curved strokes' category of the Luxgen design language.
Peter Schreyer introduces Kia's new Sportage
Mon, 26 Jul 2010It's a sign of just how significant the new Sportage is for Kia that rather than flying UK journalists to an international launch location the company instead rented a boutique hotel in London's Notting Hill, created a sketch gallery in the basement and flew in key members of the car's development team to meet the press — who were then lent some the first new Sportage's in the UK to test for a month. One executive present at the event was Kia's Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer. Car Design News was invited to meet with Peter to talk about his role at Kia and for him to talk us through a vehicle Kia is billing as the first to be designed entirely under his tenure.
