GM launches Corvette ads on television

WITH VIDEO -- The first work from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners' new client, General Motors' Chevrolet, is out, and it's a testosterone-filled, 45-second TV spot for the 2011 Corvette. The ad, which aired for the first time Tuesday night on ESPN, marks GM's return to TV advertising for the Corvette after a five-year absence. Titled "Still Building Rockets," the commercial shows footage of rocket scientists juxtaposed with snapshots of GM plant workers building a Corvette.

Italian design house Bertone nearing bankruptcy

The Italian design house Bertone is reportedly nearing bankruptcy again, according to a report from Autocar. The carrozzeria has experienced financial problems in 2008 and 2013, and even though it generated more than €20 million, or approximately $28 million, last year, the company reportedly laid off 160 employees recently. At least 30 workers who have been laid off have taken action against the company, seeking to recover monies owed to them.

Renault Clio facelift for 2009

The facelifted Renault Clio for 2009 - Due to launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March As with most car makers, Renault is going for the ‘Family’ look, and has grafted a new nose on the Clio to make it look like its big brother, the Megane. So it gets a new front end with new headlights, slitty grill and an air intake at the bottom.
