Lotus Exige Scura (2009) first pictures

Lotus will unleash its most potent and exclusive lightweight car to date at Tokyo tomorrow; the Exige Scura. Clad in moody black paint accented with slashes of carbon fibre, this is one Lotus you’ll never see coming. Chances are you’ll never catch it either, since the engine sitting behind the driver is Hethel’s most powerful unit shoehorned into the lightweight chassis.

Subaru BRZ Turbo confirmed

Subaru BRZ Turbo - which should be good for 300bhp Subaru in the US has confirmed that they are planning to build a turbo version of the new Boxer engine in the BRZ to create the Subaru BRZ Turbo. Finally, after promises that it was on its way for what seems like ever, we saw the arrival of the production versions of the Subaru BRZ and Toyota FT-86  at Tokyo (which had a small name change and arrive as the GT86). But what was a disappointment was that despite Subaru saying the BRZ would come with ‘less than 300bhp’, it actually came with almost exactly the same power as the GT 86 – a much less enticing 200bhp.

2011 Bentley Mulsanne is revealed at Pebble Beach concours

The new Bentley finally broke cover--and was named--on Sunday at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The car is called the Mulsanne and will arrive next year as a 2011 model. The name was last used on a sporty Bentley from the 1980s until 1992.
