Jaguar Land Rover reveals best ever sales

Jaguar Land Rover has announced it sold 425,006 vehicles in 2013 – a 19% rise on 2012, making it the firm’s best-ever year for global sales. Land Rover itself set another record, with 348,338 retail sales resulting in a 15% boost on 2012. For Jaguar, 76,668 sales made 2013 the division’s best year since 2005 – and was a 42% rise on 2012.

Designed jointly by Toyota's ED2 studio in the south of France and renowned French architect and industrial designer Jean-Marie Massaud, the ME.WE is a polyvalent 4-seat electric vehicle to "combat the crisis". GM reveals new, highly modular Ecotec engine family

GM introduced its new modular family of Ecotec engines on Wednesday at its powertrain headquarters in Pontiac, Mich. The new, reduced-in-size three- and four-cylinder mills will replace three of GM's current engine families, eventually making their way into five of the company's brands. The Ecotec family will eventually spawn 11 engines in total, ranging in displacement from 1.0 liter to 1.5 liters.
