Joining the established GS 450h in the range early next year, the GS 300h promises highly impressive CO2 emissions of 109g/km from its 2.5-litre full hybrid powertrain. That could deliver significant savings compared to its key premium market diesel and hybrid competitors, the GS 300h SE could represent an annual saving of up to £2,000 per year.

The Infiniti FX Limited Edition - just 18 are heading for the UK
Infiniti were busy bees last year introducing their range across Europe. Despite that, we can’t say we’re coming across too many Infinitis on the road but despite that Infiniti think the time is right to launch a Limited Edition version of the FX Crossover. The Infiniti FX Limited Edition will comprise of just 100 cars, with only eighteen coming to the UK.

The VW Passat Alltrack - debuts in Tokyo
Volkswagen has jumped on to the Allroad bandwagon with its own take on Audi’s faux off-roader, with the reveal of the 2012 VW Passat Alltrack. As you would expect, the Passat Alltrack is a butched-up Passat Estate with a raised ride height, extra bits of plastic round the bumpers, skid plates, flared side sills and 4WD – VW’s 4MOTION – for more traction in boot sale car parks. But when you don’t need the 4WD, around 90 poer cent of the drive is through the front wheels – saving fuel – with the rear wheel drive only coming in to play when you start to slip and slide.
