BMW resurrects the C1

BMW has resurrected the C1 as an electrically powered concept. It is part of a broad-based safety project conducted in cooperation with the European Union under the working title eSUM (European Safer Urban Motoring). The roofed scooter, which originally went on sale across Europe with a gasoline engine in 2000, was once touted by BMW as the future of urban mobility.

Michelin Challenge Design - Deadline for entries April 16

You Can Design America's Next Iconic Vehicle Michelin Challenge Design - the global transportation design competition in its ninth year - is looking for America's next iconic vehicle.  Submissions for the 2009 program will be accepted through April 16, 2008. The winning designs will be evaluated for their uniqueness, emotional appeal, design courage and technical execution by a jury of automotive design professionals and receive prominent display in the MCD exhibit at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. Kia Cadenza (2014)

Kia's Cadenza has been unveiled at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. Designed under the direction of Peter Schreyer – now president of the company – the premium sedan has quad headlamps that flank the grille and a wide lower fascia with chrome trim accents around the fog lamps and grille. The greenhouse is framed by a chrome bezel that flares while a sharp character line that starts from behind the front wheelarch rises gently into the rear lamps.
