The AS-GM4 is designed to be used when installing a remote start unit in a GM vehicle which has Passlock 1 or 2 system.The interface module will learn the resistive code of the vehicle and will operate when the remote start is in use. During normal vehicle operation, the interface module is bypassed and the factory's ignition switch hall effect sensor is fully operational. Use of this module maintains the integrity of the factory system and offers a simple means to add remote start to the GM Passlock vehicles
