15 Amp Potted Water Pump Control

Complete Overview: Potted assembly resists water damage.

Intellitec's Water Pump Controller, first in the family of MONOPLEX™ devices, offers the following benefits to water pump switching.

  • Minimizes the use of heavy gauge wire runs throughout the coach. Only two 14 gauge wires need to be run from the power source to the pump.
  • Multipointswitching can be added anywhere along the network using simple wiring.
  • Signaling from multiple points along the single wire MONOPLEX™ can be easily accomplished with inexpensive switches providing momentary contact to ground.
  • Simplified switches (momentary buttons) increase reliability.
  • Negligible standby current makes this system superior to conventional multipoint relay switching.
  • Labor and initial installation costs are reduced, compared to multipoint switching using conventional switching.

The MONOPLEX™ Water Pump Controller is designed to operate as a ""low side"", remote switch in 12 volt DC systems. As it's name implies, it was designed to control the domestic water pump. It's use, however, is not limited to that. It can also be used to control a variety of other loads such as lighting, other pumps, fans, etc., when it is convenient to switch the ground side. The unit is packaged in a plastic enclosure for mounting near the water pump with two flat head screws. It is capable of operating multiple switch points (as many as desired) and up to two LED power indicators may be utilized all on the same single wire. Power can be supplied from either the battery or converter and the controller is reverse polarity protected.

Tesla increases Roadster production

Thu, 11 Sep 2008

By Nick Eaton Motor Industry 11 September 2008 11:30 Tesla Motors is about to ramp up production of its Roadster, having secured supply of a new single-speed gearbox from BorgWarner. Tesla began producing the Roadster in March 2008, but all 27 cars so far delivered to customers have effectively been interim models because the original two-speed ‘box was deemed too fragile for long-term use. The original thinking was that the Roadster would require two gears to achieve the best possible acceleration, and on that point Tesla was right.

BMW 1-series: the evolutionary new look As revealed in CAR's spy images last month, the 1-series is a clear evolution of its predecessor, featuring smoother lines but a more aggressively-angled front-end. The new headlight design dominates the nose, providing the 1-series with a pronounced squint compared with its predecessor.  F20 has grown in most dimensions over the first 1-series: it is 85mm longer overall, and sits on a 30mm longer.

GM and Chrysler in merger talks

Mon, 13 Oct 2008

By Ben Oliver Motor Industry 13 October 2008 09:12 General Motors and Chrysler are in talks to merge and create the world’s biggest car company. Reports in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal say the talks have been underway since the start of October 2008, and sources close to the possible deal put its chances of success at ’50-50’. All three US car makers have seen their sales decimated in recent months and have been forced to deny that they might seek bankruptcy protection.
