Iperformance Coilover Spring Separators or Spring Dividers for 2 1/2 inch coilover springs and Helper springs.

One Pair.

One pair of 2 1/2 inch coilover spring separators. Designed for use with Hypercoils 2 1/2 inch coilover springs and 2 1/2 inch helper springs. May fit other brands of springs, please measure and verify OD and ID of springs and compare to the dimensions listed below.

Helper spring OD: 3.36 inches.

Coilover spring ID: 2.5 inches.

A helper spring is added to the suspension spring when the suspension travel is greater than the free length of the suspension spring. The helper spring keeps the suspension spring from falling out of the spring perch and rattling around on the coilover when the suspension comes unloaded as when the car encounters an extremely hard corner, or a large bump. The helper spring takes up the gap and guides the suspension spring smoothly back into place when the suspension returns to its normal loaded position.

Turned from UHMW plastic. Color is White. UHMW is extremely durable plastic, used in body armor.

We designed this product for clearance inside the upper spring perch. The spring separators on the market do not provide clearance for the upper spring perch. By placing the alignment shoulder for the helper spring on the outside of the spring, the shoulder will not make contact with the upper spring perch.

The “Top Gear” boys were hanging in Belgium this week, shooting for the 21st season of the British television show. Some time next season we'll see the guys test this McLaren P1, caught by an observant YouTube poster. The video starts with the crew ogling the P1 supercar in the garage at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, before the camera car, a matte black Mercedes SUV, and the McLaren hit the track.

The 919 Hybrid was unveiled this morning at the 2014 Geneva motor show – and a switch from Red Bull Racing to Porsche means this is also Mark Webber’s new company car. You’d be safe taking a punt and guessing it’s not a diesel engine like arch-rivals Audi, but it’s not a naturally aspirated V8 petrol like the one that’ll feature in the new Toyota TS040 either.
