Japanese Porsche tuner RAUH-Welt Begriff brings its creations to the U.S.

When Akira Nakai started tuning cars more than 15 years ago, it was to have something different than everyone else. He had a global vision, and it was RAUH-Welt, which is “rough world” in German. “[I] had this vision in my mind,” Nakai said through his interpreter Ichiraku Toshiya.

Next Hyundai Genesis partially revealed in spy shots

Thanks to an Autoweek reader, spy shots of the next Hyundai Genesis sedan found their way into our inbox this morning. The big four door was heavily camouflaged at rainy O'Hare Airport, but we can definitely see the winged Genesis logo on the wheels and the interior is Hyundai all the way. The front end looks blockier than the outgoing model, similar to the HCD-14 concept we saw at the Detroit auto show.

Most of Saleen sold to Michigan group

The future of specialty carmaker Saleen Inc. is getting a little clearer: Most of the company was sold to a Michigan group last week after being on the block since November. An entity called MJ Acquisitions, which owns parts and engine companies in Michigan, bought Saleen’s performance street-car program, supercharger and aftermarket business from Los Angeles private-investment firm Hancock Park Associates.
