Monterey Motorsports Reunion to feature the Shelby Cobra
Fri, 11 May 2012The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, part of Monterey weekend heaven for car guys, will honor the 50th anniversary of the Shelby Cobra on Aug. 17-19. A variety of activities will be held at the track, but none are as fun as the dedicated Shelby Cobra race.

Martin Emila of Autodesk showed how Maya could accelerate the development of a design concept with the help of polygonal modeling workflow, and how it can be integrated into common workflow - starting with first ideation sketch, move to polygon model and continue to surfacing and visualization. Emila's four-year career at Autodesk has largely focused on conceptual design and visualization.

And the plan is to replace the core supercars, before adding an SUV to the range. Although the Bologna-based sports car maker is now writing its balance sheets in black ink, the modest funds still don't suffice to generate a new standalone model like the proposed Espada - at least not for the time being.
