   For your consideration is a set of 6 original Jaguar connecting rods. They are Jaguar part number C.5835, this set appears to have been cleaned and bead blasted. The crank bearing surfaces look nice, I don't see any spun bearings. These have been in dry storage for many years. They are original Jaguar parts, not reproductions. McLaren are out in force for the Goodwood Festival of Speed weekend with the 2013 MP4-12C, 2011 F1 cars and the GREAT GT3 12C. Today sees the start of the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed with the Moving Motor Show ahead of the weekend’s real petrolhead fun, and McLaren are out in force. The 2013 McLaren MP4-12C will be on show for the first time complete with its extra 25bhp, programmable engine note, remote passenger door opening and extra trim options.

This is the new 2010 Porsche Cayman R, the lightest and most powerful version yet of Stuttgart’s mid-engined sports car, and the closest it’s ever been allowed to get to the hallowed 911. Over and above the Cayman S, the Cayman R has a mere 10bhp more, taking the total to 325bhp – the torque figure is unchanged at 272lb ft. Much more impressive (and important) are the weight reductions: the Cayman R is 55kg lighter than the Cayman S.

SEAT Leon Twin Drive Prototype surfaces in Barcelona

VW’s Spanish arm SEAT today unveiled their vision of the future, with the SEAT Leon Twin Drive Prototype unveiling in Barcelona. The Twin Drive concept is simple, but quite promising. It offers an electric motor for running around town, but switches to a diesel or petrol engine when out of town.
