Jaguar Xk150 3.4 Engine Block With Crankshaft- Nice Shape on 2040-parts.com

Prescott, Arizona, United States
Condition:Used

This is a Jaguar XK150 3.4 lower engine block with crankshaft . What you see is what you get. I really have no history on this. I am not sure even where it came from. Probably with some Jag cars I bought in a package deal somewhere many years or decades ago. I have an awful lot of this kind of in my shops and barns stashed away. Engines, heads, trannys, diffs, etc. It is time to get it back out in the sunlight before my shop sinks from the weight inside.  The 3 1/2 Litre block is casting part number C8610 with FF below. Te engine number is V 6460-8 .It looks like someone was going thru it many many years ago. The block and crankshaft look like they were done. But after sitting this long, that does not mean much as there is minor rust here and there from sitting open. So probaby figure a trip to the machine shop before building it. I tried to show the condition with a couple pictures.. It is getting harder and harder to find this old original stuff out there. If you are doing a XK150 restoration, finding the correct parts is always a challenge. Even if you do not need this now, somewhere down the road you might. And this would be a great piece to go thru and have ready for when you need it down the road. You are more than welcome to come check it out in person here in Prescott to see what is what. Local pickup here in Prescott,Arizona is encouraged. I will put it on a pallet and help with freight shipping as long as you arrange it. I can arrange overseas shipping thru Rinkens no problem.
Shipping is gladly combined on multiple purchases to keep shipping costs as low as possible

New Hyundai Test Centre at the Nurburgring revealed

Sun, 02 Jun 2013

Hyundai’s new test centre at the Nurburgring If anyone had said, just a few years ago, that Hyundai would develop a test centre at the Nurburgring to help shake-down their cars, they’d have been laughed at. But Hyundai – and Kia – have come so far in recent years that it makes absolute sense for them to develop a full-time testing facility at the Nurburgring to test their cars for the road, along with just about every other car maker of note. James May may object to the Nurburgring factor in the suspension set-ups of many road cars (and we do have some sympathy for his point of view), but the sometimes extreme nature of the Nurburgring’s surfaces – and its endless twists and turns, uphill and down – do offer car makers an easily accessible place to test cars in the (almost) real world.

New Audi A1 Sportback: The Five-Door A1 arrives for 2012

Fri, 18 Nov 2011

Audi reveals the new A1 Sportback 5 Door With almost two years of sales of the ‘Only Premium Car in its Class’ (Audi’s assertion), Audi has revealed the more practical version of its smallest car – the five-door Audi A1 Sportback. Visually, the five-door A1 looks just the same as the three-door A1 – with the obvious addition of a pair of back doors – but Audi has managed to 6mm in height and width which, they say, improves room in the back. Which it may, but as the length and wheelbase remain the same it won’t do anything for legroom.

Top Gear 'for inner nine-yea-old'

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

THE BOSS of BBC hit Top Gear says the presenters' childish antics are a success because they are a "release valve" for the increasing stresses of our working lives. Executive producer Andy Wilman said the programmes helped viewers to reconnect with their nine-year-old selves because life for adults is "bloody hard". In an interview with Radio Times, he also bemoaned the constraints of the workplace, which could be seen as a swipe at the strict levels of compliance which apply to BBC TV shows.
