   NEW TRIPLEX TINTED WINDSHIELD
Fits Series 2 and 3  2+2 and Coup with
                Extended Body Length*

This is a brand new OEM windshield, manufactured in England.
It has tinted glass and is in perfect condition.

* Series 2 Coups and 2+2's from approximately 1969 on were
being prepared for the V-12 engine.  These were stretched in
length, resulting in a longer windshield.  Series 3 continued to
use the same windshield and Coup was discontinued.
The center height of the windshield was increased from 19.4
   (prior to 1969 2+2) to 22.75 (later 2+2).
Also, this will fit cars where the distance from the bottom of
the windshield to the hood (bonnet) opening is about 1 inch.
this has been reduced from 4 inches increasing the engine
    compartment length.
    Please see second photo, above.

It is located on Long Island, New York.  It would make sense for
the buyer to pick up, as it is not crated.
However, we could crate and package it for shipping by Freight
Carrier at additional cost + insurance although it is not recommended.

Suzuki take Volkswagen to court

Thu, 24 Nov 2011

Suzuki are seeking to get their shares back from VW The partnership between Volkswagen and Suzuki promised so much. VW wanted an easy way in to the car market in India – where Suzuki is very strong – and in return Suzuki wanted access to the sort of technology – hybrid and EV – it couldn’t really afford to develop independently. And all looked rosy when VW took a near 20 per cent stake in Suzuki in 2009 But things started to go a bit awry when VW insensitively referred to Suzuki as an ‘associate’, where it could pull all the right strings, in its annual report.

New Hyundai Test Centre at the Nurburgring revealed

Sun, 02 Jun 2013

Hyundai’s new test centre at the Nurburgring If anyone had said, just a few years ago, that Hyundai would develop a test centre at the Nurburgring to help shake-down their cars, they’d have been laughed at. But Hyundai – and Kia – have come so far in recent years that it makes absolute sense for them to develop a full-time testing facility at the Nurburgring to test their cars for the road, along with just about every other car maker of note. James May may object to the Nurburgring factor in the suspension set-ups of many road cars (and we do have some sympathy for his point of view), but the sometimes extreme nature of the Nurburgring’s surfaces – and its endless twists and turns, uphill and down – do offer car makers an easily accessible place to test cars in the (almost) real world.

Concept Car of the Week: Honda Unibox (2001)

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

The Tokyo motor show is famous for unusual concepts and the 2001 edition didn't disappoint, featuring some of the weirdest yet. Nissan unveiled the Nails, Toyota its Pod and Isuzu the Zen, but Honda had arguably the most intelligent concept there – the Unibox. With its square shape, truss aluminum frame, wooden floor and flat, glazed walls the Unibox sits on the fence between automobile and architecture.
