This antenna motor came out of my 1998 jaguar xk8 with 35,000 miles. The motor works perfect but I broke the antenna off while driving the car under my lift. I forgot to tut radio off! So if your motor just quit you can save a few hundred dollars. All you do is take the screws off and remove the mast. Pull the old motor out paying attention to what way the mast was facing you just turn the radio off and feed the cable into the motor and you are all done. I bought the aftermarket mast on eBay and did this with this motor but the cable was to short so it still stayed out 4 inches. If you have any questions I will talk to you on the phone but call before you remove the mast because the cable is directional inside so it is easy but u must pay attention prior to removal. Please ask any and all questions prior to purchasing this low mileage part. Thank you!

Ultrasonic shields may replace wipers on future McLarens
Tue, 17 Dec 2013A few weeks ago, the NHTSA issued a recall for all McLaren MP4 12-Cs originally sold or currently owned in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. The reason? The combination of high heat and high humidity may cause wiper motor brushes to fail, something we imagine would be especially inopportune in the middle of a downpour.
Ford once planned to race fiberglass-bodied Mustang touring cars
Mon, 31 Mar 2014Tucked away on page nine of the May 9, 1964 issue of Competition Press and Autoweek is an intriguing little story: “FIA Rejects Ford Bid for Homolgation [sic].” At the time, the Mustang had just made its world debut, but Ford was already scheming to fold the car into its “Total Performance” campaign. The automaker apparently proposed to do so with a fleet of crazy fiberglass-bodied touring cars. According to Competition Press, Ford tried to get the new Mustang classified as a touring car for international racing.
