Here is a great working lower unit assembly that came off of a Johnson 1953 QD-14 10hp powerhead.  Serial number is 1055430.  There are a couple blemishes on it such as the small crack as shown in the third picture but it didn't effect performance at all and gear oil never leaked out of this lower unit.  The anti cavitation plate has a couple little bends in it.  Other than that, it's a great working lower unit.  The prop shaft spins easily in neutral, it shifts very easily and smoothly.  The gear oil has been drained and it looked good.  The drive shaft is in great condition and the water pump is a used pump but works fine.
