Volkswagen plans return of Microbus
Wed, 14 May 2014An expanded lineup of Beetle-themed cars are in Volkswagen's future, including a Microbus model that we have seen in various concept forms over the past decade, according to Auto Express. When Volkswagen renews the Beetle in 2019, it will also debut a crossover, coupe and a mini-MPV, all based on the MQB architecture that underpins the new Golf. Ford of Brazil purchased Troller in 2007, and since then, its domestic design team has been working on a new generation T4 model that taps into the market's growing appetite for SUVs. It showed a concept, called the TR-X, at last year's Sao Paulo show, and has now unveiled a car that closer to the production model expected later this year.
