With the new Audi RS6 Avant revealed, Audi has delivered theĀ firstĀ video of the new V8 RS6 in action ahead of a public debut. In fact, for many with deep pockets and petrol running through their veins, the RS6 Avant is the ultimate ‘Q’ car; take of the RS badges and no one would know the quietly spoken Audi estate was carrying a very big stick indeed for when it was needed. Mind you, the RS6 Avant only speaks quietly when you’re gentle – give your right foot free reign and it can bellow like a supercar – and even with a V8 instead of a V10, the 2013 Audi RS6 Avant can pull the same trick.

Suzuki S-Cross concept (2012) first pictures

Suzuki will launch the S-Cross crossover in late 2013, as a Golf-sized 4x4 to succeed the SX4. It's a bigger vehicle than today's SX4 and marks the end of the collaboration with Fiat which spawned the Sedici. The Italians will now turn to inhouse partner Jeep while Suzuki develops the new S-Cross itself.

Land Rover starts voyage of Discovery with Virgin Galactic (2014)

The Discovery was revealed on the deck of the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier alongside Virgin's SpaceShipTwo, the rocketship charged with making space tourism a commercial reality. Land Rover's SUVs will be the taxi of choice for budding, wealthy astronauts, attending Virgin's New Mexico base for training and space flights.
