Then you missed the ugliest Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe ever made (see our pictures, right). Faced with the prospect of arch-rival Bentley showing off its new Azure T – a 500bhp version of the ultra-expensive convertible – in the same hall, Rolls was clearly wondering how to compete.

Children more distracting than cell phones, study finds

Parents of small children will not be surprised by findings released recently by Australian researchers stating children pose a greater distraction to drivers than talking on cell phones -- a 12 percent greater distraction, to be exact. With all the screaming and crying infants bring to the commute and the fighting and other factors older siblings contribute, we wonder why nobody has pointed a finger at our precious angels sooner. Perhaps because there is little we can do to control when or where our kids decide to dissolve into fits of rage or sorrow.

Mercedes-Benz CLA

This is the Mercedes-Benz CLA, the four-door sedan version of the latest C-segment A-Class although the Merc marketing department would rather we call it a 'four-door coupé'. Previewed by the Concept Style Coupé at the Beijing auto show earlier in 2012, the CLA will join a growing band of C-segment premium sedans including the new Audi A3. At around 4,600mm long it's over 300mm longer than the hatchback.
