Whitacre named General Motors' permanent CEO

Ed Whitacre, General Motors Co.'s chairman, will become the automaker's permanent CEO, it was announced on Monday. In a brief press conference, Whitacre, 68, said GM plans to pay back government loans to the U.S. and Canada by June.

'Grand Bentley' preview (Video)

Bentley is teasing us with a preview video of its forthcoming 'Grand Bentley', which shows only sections of the car's flowing shoulder, hood and grille. The all-new new car, which will debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this summer, is claimed to be 'exceptional in all respects on the road' as well as 'the purest expression of the Bentley spirit'.
