Kawasaki Vintage Snowmobile 1980 LTD 4/6 TC440C-A201 Engine Serial Number TC440C-002493.  This engine has the following features:

  • Quad Plug - 2 plugs per clylinder
  • Factory Ported Cylinders
  • Dual electronic (CDI) ignition (CDI and Coils are not included on this engine)

Engine comes with:
  • Water pump to heat exchanger rubber hose
  • Carb boots
  • Recoil starter (Note: Starter handle is broken and needs to be replaced)
Condition:
  • This engine was a strong running engine with low mileage when removed
  • Engine is all original - pistons, rings, gaskets, etc
  • Good compression with cylinders within 5 lbs of each other with no side to side leakage (within spec)
  • Very clean engine
  • Engine has been in controlled storage for 3-4 years
While this engine has not been bench tested I see nothing that would indicate it would require a rebuild.  Should be able to fire this engine up with a minimum of effort.

This engine is the same size and has the same mounting as the Invader 440 engine - all the electronics (CDI, Coils, Stator Plate, Flywheel, Ignition Coils, and Wiring Harness Connections) are different from the Invader 440 engine.  This engine also was running dual exhaust pipes.  Be aware of these differences if considering using this engine in an Invader.

Engine will be shipped in a specially designed shipping crate that should be reusable for you.

NOTE: this engine is available for pickup if you wish to avoid the shipping charges.

Forget high beams -- lasers are coming

Audi has kicked off 2014 with the unveiling of an updated version of its Sport quattro concept car -- as first revealed at last year's Frankfurt motor show. Set to underpin the German carmaker's stand at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the latest incarnation of the bullish-looking two-door coupe showcases distinctively styled matrix LED headlamps with new laser light technology that, Audi officials suggest, will soon begin appearing on regular production models as a high-cost option. Already confirmed for the Audi R18 that will compete at the Le Mans 24-hour race later this year, the new headlamps use matrix LEDs and an aperture mask for low-beam mode.

Mercedes planning more Coupe SUVs to add to the BMW X6 challenging MLC

The Mercedes Concept Coupe SUV (pictured) looks to be just the first in a range of Coupe SUVs No one can be in any doubt that the Mercedes Concept Coupe SUV we saw revealed at the Beijing Motor Show earlier this month will turn in to a ‘coupe’ version of the ML, probably as the Mercedes MLC. What’s also clear is that the MLC is designed to steal a chunk of the market BMW has created for big, lifestyle, coupe SUVs with the X6; take away the Mercedes badge and the Concept Coupe SUV could preview the next generation X6. But with BMW taking their X6 formula and applying it to the X3 – creating the X6 on a boil-wash X4 – Mercedes aren’t going to sit back and let BMW create another lifestyle coupe SUV without responding.

Toyota NS4 Hybrid Concept tease for Detroit

Toyota NS4 Hybrid Concept teased Toyota are teasing a new hybrid concept car – the NS4 – ahead of the Detroit Auto Show in January. Today it’s Toyota’s turn to roll out the photographer they used last week to take photos of the Lexus concept for Detroit. This time it’s the Toyota NS4 being teased, and it looks like the photographer left his camera where it was after the Lexus shot and just rolled the NS4 in to view.
