It's a combo that's sure to shape up the bass in your boat. Kenwood's KFC-W250MRW 10" marine subwoofer combines a strong, waterproof polypropylene cone with a rubber surround that'll hold up to humidity and UV exposure. A tough white plastic shell protects the basket and magnet against corrosion, and the sub's integrated white plastic grille matches the interior of many boats. The sub's dual-voice coil design ensures you'll get maximum power out of the amp. Kenwood designed this marine subwoofer for free-air use, so it'll produce great bass when mounted into a panel or bulkhead — no box required. Stainless steel mounting hardware is included. The KAC-210MR marine amplifier packs plenty of power into a small package, thanks to Kenwood's engineering expertise. Special coated circuit boards ensure the amp will keep the power flowing even after prolonged exposure to dampness. You can connect the amplifier to any radio, and the amp's output is tailored to work perfectly with the subwoofer. Product Highlights:

Kenwood KAC-M1804Compact 4-channel amplifier — 45 watts RMS x 4![]() Power your speakers on land or seaKenwood's KAC-M1804 4-channel amplifier will pump up your car's audio system with 45 watts RMS per channel — that's more than twice the power of most car stereos. The super-compact KAC-M1804 will add new clarity and impact to the basic sound system of almost any kind of vehicle on land or water, and it'll fit in a lot of places when space is tight. The amp uses plastic covers to protect its connections and features a conformal coated circuit board that keeps out moisture and salt, so the party won't stop just because of a little wetness. Hooks up to almost any systemThe KAC-M1804 comes with an RCA cable for connecting to an aftermarket receiver, but it can handle speaker-level signals as well, so you can still get input from a radio without RCA outputs. The amp senses incoming high-level signals and turns itself on, eliminating the need to install a separate remote turn-on wire. If your receiver's power circuit is protected by a 15-amp or larger fuse (check your fuse box or owner's manual), you can tap into it to power your KAC-M1804. Otherwise, you'll have to run a power wire to the battery and install a 15-amp inline fuse as close to the battery as possible. Product Highlights:

Toyota Auris Touring Sports: Paris 2012
Thu, 27 Sep 2012Toyota has revealed the first estate version of the Auris – the 2013 Toyota Auris Touring Sports – at the Paris Motor Show. It’s a sensible move by Toyota to add an estate version to a car that competes in a segment where 25 per cent of all cars sold are estates, and the Auris Estate looks a decent offering. The Auris Touring Sports sits on the same 2600mm wheelbase as the Auris hatch, but it gets and extra 285mm longer thanks to the new shed on the back, a shed that offers what looks like a decent carrying capacity )although Toyota aren’t actually telling us how much ‘stuff’ the Auris estate can carry).
AutoWeek Design Forum: McLaren evolves with carbon fiber
Thu, 13 Jan 2011McLaren Automotive design boss Frank Stephenson detailed his company's transformation from strictly racing to producing road-going models on Thursday at the AutoWeek Design Forum. McLaren is launching the highly anticipated MP4-12C this year, and the company has been hard at work refining the use of carbon fiber, which it pioneered in the iconic McLaren F1. The company cut the amount of time required to design a carbon-fiber tub from 3,000 hours for the F1 to a mere four hours for the MP4-12C.
Audi TTS Competition celebrates 500k TTs sold
Thu, 15 Aug 2013The Audi TTS Competition (pictured) celebrates 500k TTs built It started off as something of a hairdressers car, but over the course of its 15 year history – and two iterations – the Audi TT has grown to be a credible sport car and a decent seller for Audi. That’s meant a total of 500,000 TTs have been solid since the TT first hit showrooms back in 1998, so Audi are celebrating with a new limited edition model – the Audi TTS Competition. The TTS Competition will be limited to just 500 units and will come in a choice of either Imola Yellow and Nimbus Grey, as a coupe or a roadster.
