Porsche launches brand new Macan compact SUV

At 4.68 metres long and 1.92 metres wide, the smaller brother to the hugely successful Cayenne is a considerably more manageable size than its full-size sibling, as well as being more affordable and still packed with performance. Two closely-related turbocharged petrol engines are being touted by Porsche as the initial flagship powerplants.
Ex Ford, Mazda designer to head styling at Renault

Van den Acker, 43, quit as head of design at Mazda earlier this month. He will join Renault on May 15 and assume le Quement's full responsibilities starting on Nov.
AA Survey says 40% of UK roads are in a ‘Terrible’ state

Now the AA has revealed that a survey of 29,911 of their members reveals that 40 per cent of local roads are considered to be in a ‘Terrible’ state, 34 per cent of main roads the same and just 11 per cent of local roads considered ‘Excellent’. None of which will come as a surprise to Cars UK readers; we get endless emails on the subject from disgruntled readers bemoaning the dangerous state of our roads and asking what can be done.
