Hyundai Genesis gets Detroit 2014 debut

Cars we don’t get in the UK 101 would have to include the Hyundai Genesis American-market saloon in its syllabus. It’s an upmarket barge of a car that we actually wouldn’t mind gracing our roads over here in Blighty – and, interestingly, the new car is destined for these shores. Think of it as a cut-price Jaguar XF or BMW 5 Series over in the States, offering loads of comfort, a decent turn of performance and plenty of neat safety features.

McLaren to introduce special edition MP4-12C at Singapore Grand Prix

McLaren will unveil a unique version of the MP4-12C at the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix on Friday, Sept. 21. It's aptly named MP4-12C Singapore Edition.

The iMIEV Sport, a teardrop coupe based on the same running gear as the regular iMIEV (more of which shortly), but with two in-wheel electric motors at the front to complement the single electric motor under the boot driving the rear wheels. The firm says the set-up can mimic the four-wheel drive grip of the S-AWC system used in the Evo X, but there are no plans to put it into production.
