This listing is for a Genuine Land Rover OEM Overhead DVD Player for a Discovery 2 with 6.8" Monitor and Mounting Bracket. Made by Rosen out of California for Land Rover, this is a plug and play unit. Whether you know it or not, the wiring for this DVD install is already in the ceiling of your Disco 2 and hard wired to your factory radio head unit. All you have to do is cut a hole in your headliner (I realize this may be hard to do for most of us to do but start small and increase the size of the hole as you need to), install the mounting bracket, plug it in and it is ready to play your favorite DVD's. Race2Recovery gets set for second Dakar Rally
Wed, 04 Dec 2013Race2Recovery, a rally-raid team filled mostly with disabled veterans, is headed to its second Dakar Rally in two years. The team took its two Defender-based Wildcat rally trucks, one T4 competition truck, one T5 support truck and two Land Rover Discovery (LR4 in the U.S.) support vehicles to the Le Havre port in France for scrutineering. Then they joined 650 other competitors in loading the ships bound for South America.
New car sales still accelerating
Thu, 04 Sep 2014NEW CAR SALES raced ahead again last month, according to official figures. A total of 72,163 new vehicles were registered in August 2014 - a 9.4% rise on August 2013 and the 30th consecutive month of growth, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said. Last month's figure took the year-to-date total to more than 1.53 million - a 10.1% rise on the total for the first eight months of 2013.
Volkswagen to reveal new electric car concept
Tue, 23 Aug 2011Volkswagen is due to reveal a one-seat electric car concept in early September as the manufacturer explores its greener future. Part of the on-going project to cut its average fleet emissions Volkswagen has designed the concept vehicle for limited journeys, with the vehicle due to be unveiled on September 8 in Berlin. There's no word yet as to whether it will appear at the Frankfurt motor show just a few days later, but we'd be surprised not to see it there.
