Jaguar’s C-X17 crossover concept might have show-stopping looks, but it’s what will lie beneath the production crossover – thought to be called QX – that’s just as intriguing: an all-new aluminium platform, dubbed ‘iQ Al’. It’s a clean-sheet design, with double-wishbone suspension up front, and a multi-link axle at the rear. Victor Nacif started his new role as Vice President of Design at Nissan Design Europe last month, having recently relocated from San Diego, California. Car Design News caught up with Nacif, an avid racing fan, at last weekend's FIA GT1 World Championship race at Silverstone, in which a Nissan GT-R piloted by team Sumo Power garnered the win. Nacif comes to NDE following a six-year stint at Nissan Design America where he held the role of Vice President of Design Business Aspects.

Chevrolet Camaro pace car revealed for 2010 Indianapolis 500

The next Chevrolet Camaro to pace the Indianapolis 500 will pay homage to one of the first. An inferno orange metallic Camaro SS wearing white diamond rally stripes that stretch the length of the car will lead the 2010 Indianapolis 500. The stripes channel the design from the Camaro that paced the 1969 race.
