Lewmar / Simpson Lawrence Delta Fast Set Stainless Steel Anchor

Made from premium grade Duplex / High Tensile stainless steel this Delta anchor leads the way in innovative anchor engineering. Its unique shank profile and ballasted tip make the Delta anchor self-launching. The low centre of gravity and self-righting geometry ensure that the Delta anchor will set immediately. Consistent and reliable in performance, the Delta anchor has Lloyd Feets Register Type Approval as a High Holding Power anchor and is specified as the primary anchor used by numerous National Lifeboat organisations.

Features:
Stainless Steel model Delta / Plow anchor
One peice constuction of premium grade duplex / high tensile stainless steel

On contact with the seabed the Delta will immediately try to "right itself due to extreme apex ballasting and geometric configuration of the anchor
The "set position" is instantaneous
Self launching
Self-launch - the Delta Feets shank is shaped to initiate self-launch from the stowed position
This means that when using a power windlass the Delta can be released without assistance

Apple and Ferrari—What could be better?

Thu, 08 Nov 2012

Recently a press release popped into my email (remember when we used to say “came across my desk”?) that said Eddy Cue, Apple's head of Internet software and services, has joined Ferrari's board of directors. The statement said while on the board Cue, a Ferrari owner, will “aid with his experience in Internet-based commerce.” My two cents: It's a brilliant move for both parties, and the ramifications could be huge. Think about it: Does this mean Apple wants to make stuff for cars?
