Its range comprised of the technically-advanced but stylistically geriatric XJ sedan, the golfers' favourite waftmobile XK8, the droopy S-Type with what appeared to be a lavatory seat on its nose and a Ford Mondeo in a bowler hat known as the X-Type. LA Motor Show: Ford Edge spin-off headed for Europe
Thu, 21 Nov 2013FORD HAS given European audiences an unusual teaser by revealing its new Edge large SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show, before adding that it will come to Europe - with as-yet unconfirmed changes. The car is officially only a concept, as evidenced by the wild interior design. The exterior, however, has been tipped by Ford insiders to be more or less production-ready for North America.

Horbury, who pioneered Volvo's modern look in his previous stint as design boss from 1991 to 2002 spent five and a half years in charge of Ford's North American design studio. But in May 2009, Volvo CEO Stephen Odell asked Horbury to return to the top job in Gothenburg.
