Malaysian Grand Prix (2014): RESULT
Sun, 30 Mar 2014Malaysian Grand Prix (2014): RESULT The opening Grand Prix of 2014 in Australia could have been a demonstration of Mercedes’ apparent superiority with the new F1 engines, but Lewis Hamilton’s car let him down leaving Nico Rosberg to take the win for Mercedes. But at the Sepang Track in Malaysia this morning, Lewis Hamilton had no such problems and was ahead of the pack from lights to flag to take a convincing win for Mercedes, 17.3 seconds ahead of his team mate Nico Rosberg in second place with reigning champion Sebastian Vettel trailing in third. An impressive Mercedes one-two in Kuala Lumpur.
UK Ferrari sales outstrip entire Middle East
Wed, 19 Feb 2014ITALIAN supercar company Ferrari raced to a record year in 2013 on the back of expanding UK sales, selling more cars in Britain than in the Middle East and Africa combined. As a result the company made an all-time high net profit of 264 million Euros (£217 million) - a 5.4% rise on 2012. A total of 677 Ferraris were sold in the UK, with the nation overtaking Germany as the company's strongest European market and leaving the oil-rich states trailing.
2013 BMW M5 facelift & new M6 get Competition Package
Tue, 21 May 2013The BMW M5 (left) & M6 with new Competition Packacge But the 2013 BMW M5 – and its coupe sister, the BMW M6 – will also be getting a Competition Package option for 2013, which is probably more interesting than the minor tweaks to the 2013 5 Series. The Competition Package adds more power to both the M5 and M6 – a whole 15bhp, taking it up to 567bhp – enough to improve the 0-62mph by 0.2s on both M5 and M6 as well as re-tuned dampers and springs – which lower ride height on the M5, but not the M6 – stiffer anti-roll bars, new M Diff and an improved Dynamic Mode which should allow you to play a bit more. On the cosmetic front, just like the 5 Series facelift, you’ll have to look quite hard to see what the Competition Package adds, but you do get a black finish on the tail pipes and a slightly different set of 20″ alloys.
