New Lunati .660" Lift Dual Valve Spring Kit for GM LS-based applications. The kits come complete with dual valve springs, retainers, spring locators, locks and valve seals that are ready for drop-in installation on many popular LS applications. Using a Signature Series Valve Spring, Lunati engineers have developed new wear-favorable, lightweight alloy steel retainers and locators. These designs prevent chafing in the spring pockets of aluminum heads, making the combination unbeatable for both serious performance street and drag racing. **

Other features include:

  • Locks equipped with inner bead locks; 7° interference angle between locks and retainers causes the locks to clamp valve stems more tightly 
  • Valve seals are made from Viton synthetic rubber and are steel jacketed to guarantee seals remain tight around guides and are protected from springs 
  • Viton material is ideal for resisting heat and aggressive racing oil additives that cause swelling and distortion

The Ford Escort Concept has been built by Ford with the aim of taking a sizeable chunk of China’s compact saloon market – estimated at 5.5 million sales a year – and looks remarkably production viable and far from ‘budget’. Escort is a badge China knows – there are plenty of old Escorts floating around Chinese roads – so it’s a sensible move by Ford to revive a badge that already resonates as a compact, affordable saloon with Chinese car buyers. This new Escort gets a proper version of Ford’s latest design language – including the Aston Martin grill – and has good lines and strong detail including jeweled headlights with the lucky Chinese ’8′ discernible ; it looks entirely cohesive and nothing like a Focus with a boot grafted on.

Pagani Huayra - now heading for the USA in 2013 At the weekend we broke the news that Pagani were not going to be able to take the Huayra to the US for the foreseeable future, as they’d had their application for a Temporary Exemption from Advanced Air Bag Requirements denied by the DOT. Which we’ve known was likely for months. So we asked why Pagani continued with its US launch and continued taking orders for cars it knew, almost certainly, it wouldn’t be able to complete.
