Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster
Thu, 19 Feb 2009Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster Expected to sport the same 650bhp engine as the Reventon, this LP650-4 looks like it’s going to be one of the quickest open-topped cars there is, with a 0-60 time just over 3 seconds. Just like the Reventon, the LP650-4 looks likely to come in just one colour choice, in this case a matt grey (Grigio Telesta) with orange accents, and dark painted alloys. With the expected launch of the LP670-4 SV happening at Geneva in a couple of weeks, it is unlikely that Lamborghini will show this car, more likely saving it for later in the year for maximum impact.
80% of drivers don't care about emissions
Tue, 13 May 2014EIGHT OUT OF 10 drivers in the UK say they wouldn’t change their car to a lower emissions model to save on road tax. This stark admission from the nation’s drivers follows a survey that also found 65% of Britain’s motorists don’t know their VED (Vehicle Excise Duty), or road tax, is calculated on the carbon dioxide emissions of their car. Many drivers think their road tax is worked out based on the size of engine in their car.
Citroën designers: Design students have 'golden opportunity'
Fri, 25 Jan 2013Today's car design students "have got a fantastic opportunity in a very different world," say Citroën designers. Though the automotive industry has been suffering in many regions in the current economic climate, the next generation of car designers "have got a fantastic opportunity," says Andrew Cowell, Senior Design Manager at Citroën, in conversation with Car Design News at the Royal College of Art, London. "The industry will evolve quite a lot, and these guys (the students on the postgraduate Vehicle Design course) will come out into a very different world." "They'll start in a very interesting period", says Alexandre Malval, Citroën Design Director and himself a graduate from the RCA course.
