Bertone has revealed it will give a new one-off concept its world premiere at the upcoming Geneva motor show. There is next to no information – not even a name – about what we can expect from the Italian carrozeria's latest offering, and all we have to work from is the 'teaser' image of the car's profile. VL Destino revealed - what became of the Fisker Karma

VL This is the new face of the Fisker Karma, the luxury plug-in hybrid whose parent company went to the wall last year. But it’s not only the Karma’s gap-toothed grin that’s disappeared: its plug-in hybrid powertrain has bitten the dust, too, replaced by a GM-sourced V8 – a supercharged lump boasting 638hp and 640lb ft. Called the VL Destino, the wilder Karma will be shown at this month’s North American International Auto Show, aka the Detroit Motor Show.

Luc Donckerwolke has been named Design Director of Bentley in the latest round of moves within the Volkswagen group, replacing Dirk van Braeckel. Donckerwolke moves from Head of VW Advanced Design, a post he has held for little over a year. He is perhaps most renowned for his work at Lamborghini, overseeing the designs of both the Gallardo and Murcielago – two of the most successful and enduring Lamborghinis ever – during his time in Sant'Agata.
