You are looking at a perfectly working one wire racing alternator made by Magsarus. This alternator weighs 7 lbs. and was on a small block chevy engine. It is a true single wire alternator, which uses only one wire hooked directly to the battery, no need for an on/off switch as it will start all by itself after it spins up to approximately 3,000 rpm. The voltage output is regulated by a small light-weight regulator mounted directly to the back of the alternator which supplies 14.5 volts and 38 amps to your electrical system.
