Geneva Show 2014: Renegade Is Anything But Rough And Ready

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

DON’T be put off by the size of Jeep’s latest offering, as its new Renegade might be small but it’s claimed to be just as capable as its larger stablemates. With Jeep now part of the Fiat family, it’s no surprise to learn that the Renegade is based on the Italian firm’s 500L. The diminutive Renegade is, however, expected to remain true to the Jeep brand thanks to off-road versions complete with all-wheel drive, skid plates and raised ride height.

This bus concept brightens up journeys with transparent LCD screens

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Designer Tad Orlowski has explored how technology could shape public transit vehicle design with his new ‘Willie' bus concept, which trades windows and body panels transparent LCD screens. With static advertising space replced with LCD screens the bus is transformed into a mobile billboard that display not only advertising but also information such as route plans, weather reports and suggestions for tourists. They could also have touch functions, allowing passengers to interact with the displays.

Mercedes Vito London Taxi comes out fighting

Tue, 07 Aug 2012

Mercedes has come out fighting against the Nissan NV200 London Taxi with an assertion of the benefits of the Mercedes Vito Taxi. Yesterday we had the news that Nissan, not content with just undermining the Crown Victoria as the NYC Yellow Cab, have turned their attention  to the London Taxi with their NV200 take on the Black Cab. So far, LTI hasn’t responded to the imminent threat to their business from Nissan (but then they still haven’t really reacted to Mercedes entry in to the market), but Mercedes has, coming out fighting this morning with a press release extolling the virtues of the Vito Taxi.
