2015 McLaren P13 details revealed

McLaren McLaren is not officially talking about its next car yet, other than to say it’s in the pipeline under the internal codename of P13. But having spent the last few days trying out the new 650S supercar, we have managed to gather a few intriguing details. The P13 – which won’t be called the P13 when it goes on sale – will join the McLaren range as an entry-level model, priced at around about £120,000.

Setting a world record for a Porsche 911 sold at auction, Steve McQueen's 1970 Porsche 911S went to a new owner for a cool $1.375 million during RM Auctions' Monterey event on Friday. The 911 wasn't just owned by McQueen; it also featured prominently at the beginning of the film Le Mans as the lead character, played by McQueen, drives through France reflecting on the realities of racing. Mustang celebrated with Bullit in Silverstone

THE FORD MUSTANG turns 50 this year and to celebrate arguably its finest on-screen hour in the film Bullit, the team behind this year’s Silverstone Classic event in July have filmed their very own homage on the mean streets of…Silverstone. The Highland Green Ford Mustang GT prowls the Northamptonshire village before it catches up with black Dodge Charger R/T, and the actions then switches to the Silverstone circuit itself before the dramatic conclusion. ‘It’s hard to imagine a better way for us to celebrate the Mustang’s forthcoming 50th birthday party than by making this special homage to the classic car chase in Bullitt,” said Nick Wigley, Silverstone Classic Event Director.
