Ford Euro tuning partner Mountune sets up shop in US

U.K.-based Ford tuner Mountune is opening up a satellite location in California. The company is not well known on this side of the Atlantic, but across the pond it enjoys the status of being Ford's official European tuning partner. Mountune will be offering high-performance racing components for a number of Ford vehicles in the states, and we're excited to see what they'll be able to do with the rabid Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST models.

Power Boost For Vauxhall’s Sporty Astra GTC

VAUXHALL has boosted the performance of its three-door Astra GTC with the inclusion of a new 1.6-litre turbo petrol motor. Slotting in below the firm’s hot VXR variant, this latest addition to the Astra range boasts 197 horsepower and is the same unit that also powers Vauxhall’s premium drop-top, the Cascada. On-paper performance figures promise a brisk driving experience, with the 1.6 turbo Astra GTC topping out at 143mph and capable of sprinting to 60mph in 7.3 seconds.

Prototype of new Alfa Romeo Milano is spied; a future car for Chrysler?

Chrysler let slip the names to two upcoming Alfa Romeo models in its survival plan submitted to Congress--and here is a look at one of them, the Milano. Alfa has been developing this five-door small car to replace the 147 in its lineup. The new car was developed under the 149 name, but it will be called the Milano when it is launched in Europe late this year.
