A very rare pair of MARSHAL "FANTASTIC" Fog / Driving light assemblies as used on early 1968 68 Mustang GT/CS California Special and Shelby GT350 GT500 GT500KR vehicles.  Removed during a restoration and replaced with new.  The outer chrome housing shell and front bezel are in extraordinary condition for their age... chrome is very shiny and bright with no dents, blistering or pealing.  The glass is cracked on one of the lamps, both inner reflector panels need to be replaced or re-plated as the mirror finish has come off and metal has rusted.  Bulbs and sockets are intact, filaments appear good but do not work... may just need contacts cleaned due to rust.  Wiring is there but original ends have been cut off at some time.  Pivot mounting studs are in great shape and include original washers and nuts. These would be great to restore and use on a concourse show car.  Glass lens is marked with a raised M framed within a V shaped badge with raised letters FANTASTIC above the "cat's eye" center.  The raised letters SEV appear to the left of center.  On the vertical end of lens is marked K11123 N cm AUF5m the very bottom center of lens is marked MADE IN FRANCE   1GM1642 PN the inside back has ink stamps 653 and dates of September 26 1967 and October 6 1967 as they were original equipment parts not service parts.  Items will be safely packaged in replacement boxes the into a larger box for safe shipping, I will include insurance.

Alfa Romeo 4C at Frankfurt – only the colour changes

Tue, 30 Aug 2011

Alfa Romeo 4C in Fluid Metal at Frankfurt When Alfa Romeo teased the Alfa 4C for Frankfurt a few weeks back with a dark photo (what’s new?) we did ask what they were playing at. Don’t misunderstand; we think the Alfa Romeo 4C is exactly the sort of car Alfa should be making. No, what puzzled us was, why the tease?

Kia Cross GT SUV Concept teased ahead of Chicago debut

Wed, 30 Jan 2013

A new Kia Concept for a larger CUV/SUV – the Kia Cross GT – is being teased ahead of a reveal at the Chicago Auto Show. Kia may have made big strides in the last few years – along with sister company, Hyundai – but there’s no sense they’re resting on their laurels despite declaring 2013 the year when brand perception is key rather than huge sales growth. We already know that the Kia pro_cee’d GT and the five-door Cee’d GT, both the with a 200bhp petrol turbo – are heading for the Geneva Motor Show in March and will sit alongside the the Kia Urban Concept, which appears to be Kia’s take on the Nissan Juke.
