You must have an EXTERNAL CD Changer for this adapter to work. It plugs into the same port as your CD Changer, but also uses the CD Changer to trick your system. CD Changer on the QP is under the steering column. CD Changer on the Coupes and Spyders is in the trunk/boot.

WANT TO STILL BE ABLE TO USE YOUR EXTERNAL CD CHANGER?
I can equip your kit with a switch that will allow you to switch back and forth between your audio device and CD Changer. There is a $45 additional charge in order to add the components necessary to make the change. You can pick from the two different size switches (see pictures). If you choose the bigger switches, you can pick from black, red, or gray switch covers, and you also can pick whether you want a hard plastic feel or soft rubber feel on those switches.

This kit also includes basic instructions for connecting this kit to your Maserati audio system. I also have some basic information about where previous Maserati owners have installed these systems, but you'll have to e-mail for this information. MASERATI COMPATIBILITY

MASERATI MODEL COMPATIBILITY:
According to Blaupunkt, aftermarket products do NOT work with OEM receivers. I have found this to be false, but for the Maserati models, it appears to be true. That's why I've designed this special adapter mod that tricks your Maserati's OEM Blaupunkt headunit into thinking it is playing the audio output from the external CD Changer, but it actually plays the audio output from your iPod, iPhone, iTouch, or other audio device.

THIS KIT SHOULD WORK IN ANY 2002-2008 QP, COUPE, OR SPYDER THAT HAS THE EXTERNAL CD CHANGER.

This kit plugs into the back of the receiver unit in the same spot as a CD Changer. YOU MUST HAVE A CD CHANGER INSTALLED IN YOUR MASERATI FOR THIS KIT TO WORK. You will have to unplug the CD Changer in order to plug this item in.
