Chrysler sold in £3.76 billion deal
Thu, 17 May 2007By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 17 May 2007 09:38 Chrysler has been sold. In one of the biggest private equity deals seen in the automotive industry, Cerberus Capital Management has purchased 80.1% of Chrysler in a £3.76billion deal, leaving DaimlerChrysler with the remaining 19.9% stake in the loss-making company. The move marks the close of arguably the most high-profile transatlantic merger and shuts the door on Canadian car assembly giant Magna and billionaire Kirk Kerkorian, who last month offered £2.27billion for Chrysler.
BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor arrives. It carries bicycles.

But unlike most car makers, who make their pseudo off-road saloons ready for the great outdoors with raised ride height and bolt-on plastic cladding, all BMW seem to have done is fit the Tourer Outdoor with a bicycle carrying system. But unlike most bicycle carrying systems that bolt the bikes to the back of the car, BMW’s system puts the bikes under cover in the back on built in, retractable carriers.
Opel Monza concept
Wed, 21 Aug 2013We brought you the first vague details of the Opel Monza concept last month, but now GM Europe has released more details and pictures of its Frankfurt motor show star. The 4,690mm long Monza crosses coupé with wagon to create a gull-winged shooting brake that's just 1,310mm high. Its layered, lightweight aesthetic is said to represent the brand's new language and also marks the return of Mark Adams to the European arm of GM.
