Up for sale is a manual wing window crank knob, center cap and screw, off of a 1966 230S w111. It fits the 110 111 112 and 113 from 1960-68. The chrome and plastic cleaned up nice and the groove for the crank is in great shape. Nice peice for being almost 50 years old.

Volvo celebrates the seatbelt’s golden anniversary

It was patented by Volvo engineer Nils Bohlin in 1959, but the Swedes magnanimously opened up the tech to other car makers as they saw the real-world safety benefit of seatbelts in all cars. The design was so effective that in Germany the patent registrars listed it in the top eight inventions which have made an impact from 1885 to 1985.

Banks and Dallenbach ready for Pikes Peak with 1,400 hp
Thu, 09 Aug 2012Not content to rest on his laurels after developing new diesel engines for military applications, Gale Banks and his company Banks Power will run a 1,400-hp, 1,301 lb-ft methanol-fueled vehicle up the now completely paved course at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, which is scheduled to take place Aug. 8-12. Banks teamed up with Paul Dallenbach and Leonard Arnold of Dallenbach Racing for the occasion.
