Prices start at £18,150 Three months on from the public debut of the Peugeot 508 at the Paris Motor Show – and three months before it hits the road in the UK – Peugeot has dropped us details of the model and engine range – and the all important Peugeot 508 prices – to help buyers find a reason to toddle off to their local Peugeot dealer and stick an order in. This early – and without having driven the 508 – we can’t say if it’s a good car or not.

Jaguar C-X16 WON’T be the Jaguar XE

Jaguar C-X16 won't be the Jaguar XE It’s been revealed that the new smaller sport car from Jaguar – the C-X16 Concept – won’t be called the Jaguar XE. The Jaguar C-X16 Concept – a new smaller sports car based on the next generation XK platform – was revealed at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and although we were a little underwhelmed with the design – there is nothing wrong with it, it just didn’t seem to move Jaguar’s design language on – we loved what was on offer. What we did think – in common with just about everyone else – is that Jaguar would make their new Sports car the Jaguar XE, evoking memories of the original E-Type in the process and fitting in with the current Jaguar nomenclature quite well.

Coventry University degree show 2009

Students graduating in automotive, transport and product design from Coventry University in 2009 displayed an exceptionally wide variety of final projects. From hydrogen-powered supercars to electric commuters, eco awareness was a clear theme, with imaginative use of new materials and technologies. Strong interest was evident in all forms of transport - from folding bicycles and ingenious wheelchairs to ocean-crossing ekranoplan aircraft and extravagant super-yachts for the very wealthy.
