Vintage original, used Mercedes Benz W121 Ponton Right Rear Door Shell. Came off of a 1959 190D we are parting out. Good sheetmetal with no bondo or filler. Original paint is fading on exterior surface. Nice original paint on interior side. Clear drain holes. Bottom outside skin has some roughness, but still solid. The inner edge of both the lower front and back each has a small repairable rust hole, not serious. The bottom of the inner pan has some rough scale. Will fit only the shorter chassis W120, W121 and W105 models, NOT the W180 and W128 chassis. Worthy of repair for any driver and most restorations. Nice old item that is usually badly rusted or damaged. The right front and right rear doors are also available from this car. A minor temblor shook Dearborn, Mich., today with the announcement that Mark Fields, president of the Americas, climbed the golden corporate ladder to grab the chief operating officer ring, setting him up to succeed Alan Mulally in a couple of years. The move did not come as a shock-it only confirmed the whispers of auto industry Royal Watchers. The biggest news for those who care about cars, however, is two-fold: Jim Farley, Ford's global marketing boss, also takes the helm of Lincoln.

Ford names Freeman Thomas as Strategic Design Director

 Long-time DaimlerChrysler designer Freeman Thomas is joining Ford Motor Company from June 1. Thomas, 47, will become director of Strategic Design, reporting to Peter Horbury, executive director of Design, North America. Based in the company's Irvine, California studio, Thomas will lead advanced design teams in both California and Dearborn.
