MERCEDES 300SL, GULLWING, PORSCHE 356

LETTER "D" DEUTSCHLAND ORIGINAL LATE 50's

Very nice piece of history. The letter "D" designating Deutschland (Germany).
Prominent on expensive cars from that era.

Excellent shape. Recently, re-chromed by Paul's Chrome in Evan City, PA, USA.
Just a stunning job.

The letter came from a 1962 Mercedes W111 Coupe.
It looks like the GULLWING had the same letter.

Size - 8cm x 10cm

This is NOT a reproduction. 100% authentic.

Made in Germany.

Ferrari testing LaFerrari at Nurburgring (video)

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

Ferrari testing LaFerrari at Nurburgring We’ve had plenty of information from the Nurburgring on the new McLaren P1, and the new Porsche 918 has broken the Nurburgring lap record, but until now, despite a reveal at the Geneva Motor Show, we’ve had nothing from Ferrari on the LaFerrari. Yes, we know Ferrari have been running LaFerrari round their own track, but McLaren and Porsche have been taking on the Nurburgring for some time with their hyper supercar offerings, but now it seems Ferrari are playing catch-up. What is a bit ofdd is that despite LaFerrari being presented to the public in production guise at Geneva, Ferrari feel the need to cover LaFerrari ion swirly black and white camouflage.

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

POTHOLES are costing British drivers £1.2 billion every year due to damage to suspension, steering and wheels. This is a 16% rise in the cost of damage to cars on the UK’s roads and the weather has played a major part in the rise in the number of potholes. Councils say they don’t have the money to deal with the problem due to budget cuts and there has also been an 18% increase in the number of dangerous potholes reported during the past 12 months according to the Asphalt Industry Alliance (AIA).
