Lexus goes bonkers for SEMA 2010
Sat, 30 Oct 2010Lexus SEMA 2010 I think we’re going to stop trying to work out what Lexus is all about. Just when we think we have them pegged down as green halo, fluffy-bunny-loving corporate eco-mentalists with a misguided view of the future of the car, they go and produce the LFA. We put the LFA’s existence down to its long gestation period; there is no way Lexus would embark on such a project today.
Speedy Riders
Thu, 24 Jul 2014A GROUP of Commonwealth Games athletes took on a road race with a difference by going for a ride down one of Scotland's busiest stretches of motorway. The four members of the Sri Lankan team sparked a police response after they were spotted cycling down the M74. British triathlete Jonny Brownlee was among those amazed to see the intrepid cyclists riding alongside traffic this morning.
Toyota GT86 Convertible spied in South Africa
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Ahead of a reveal of a concept version of the Toyota GT86 Convertible at the Geneva Motor Show, the soft-top GT86 has been spied Almost a year ago we learned that a Toyota GT86 Convertible was in the planning after Toyota’s chief engineer, Tetsuya Tada, revealed that the GT86 (and therefore the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ) were designed to be a convertible from the start. Shortly after that revelation, we saw the first glimpse of a future GT86 Convertible in the shape of the Scion FR-S Speedster at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, an officially sanctioned speedster version of the GT86 created by Iacona Design and Cartel Customs. Most recently, Toyota revealed that they are taking the the FT-86 Open Concept to next month’s Geneva Motor Show, a car that looks to preview an almost production-ready GT86 Convertible, which could arrive in production guise before the end of 2013.
